Can't create flight

Postby realdeal » Wed Dec 03, 2003 9:13 pm

First off - Great software! I mostly use this on my old Dell laptop and it is very handy.

Recently I tried to load it on my desktop and it won't let me create a flight. I click New --> Flight and it brings up the Add/Modify flight session box. It will let me enter time, weather, field, and notes but the buttons for adding a flight are not visible no matter how much I expand the box.

The main differences between my laptop and desktop are:

1) The desktop runs XP Home vs 98SE on the laptop.
2) The desktop has an LCD screen running at 1280x1024 vs 800x600 on the laptop.

I'd be happy to send a screen shot if you e-mail me a request. Thanks!

This problem is usualley caused when you change your font size for your desktop. Please try changing you font to the normal size. Go to the display settings and make sure the Font size on the "Appearance" tab is set to normal.

This problem keeps arrising for other people but I have never been able to duplicate it myself so I have not been able to figure ot a way to fix it.

hello,

I too am having the problem of not seeing the buttons on the very bottom of most of the windows. I have a Dell Latitude laptop and XP. My font size is Normal. I found I can use alt+s to save sometimes. I feel I must be unable to see some information when adding flight logs. There is no sidebar to scroll down to the bottom in most windows.

This looks like it woudl be great software for me. It's quite handicapped for me right now though. Any ideas?

Make sure your screen DPI setting is also set to normal.

Go to display properties
go to settings tab
click advanced button
go to general tab
in display group box, make sure DPI setting is

Normal size (96 DPI)
