Electric Equivalent to Glo power

I am new to this hobby/sport. I have only been flying for a few months so I
have a great deal to learn. I have successfully self taught and am having a
ball with my Aerobird. Oh, I have cracked it up pretty bad a few times and
have already posted a few fix tips for it. I am on my third wing, but parts
are cheap for this plane and it can really take a beating.

However one of the reasons I started was because electric power has become so
good. While I love the plentiful power and excitement of glo, I always hated
the mess and the noise. In addition, of the three fields near me, the one
designated glider or electric is 5 minutes from my house. The club I joined
is at this glider/electric field. So I plan to focus on gliders and
electrics. I may eventually get into electric aerobats and I could see myself
getting into pattern flying.

There are lots of electrics to choose from, however I have seen some models that I might like to fly that are speced for glow. So I wanted to see if there was some way of knowing that, say, a .30 glow engine might be roughly equivalent to a Speed 400 motor. I just picked these at random.

Also, the electric field has no standard designations that I can identify. You
have speed specs, and cobolt, and brushless. How do I move from a Speed 380 to one of these others and know if I have picked the right motor.

I don't have a specific model in mind yet. This is just part of my learning
process. I appreciate any help anyone can provide.
