Unplanned Use for Flight Log

Postby rc_for_me » Wed Jan 18, 2006 8:36 am

I have been using Flight Log for years, but this is my first post. Recently, my SUV was broken into and three planes along with all of my flight gear was stolen.

Fortunately, I use Flight Log to track every component that goes into building my planes right down to the last Sullivan Golden Clevis. I also created an Airframe named "Flight Box" to keep inventory of everything in my flight box.

All I needed to do was print out a report for each stolen plane along with my Flight Box, and my insurance company accepted that as proof of value! I received a reimbursement check for my loss almost immediately.

Thank you for the excellent program Shawn!

Sorry for your loss but that is awesome. I get comments about the costs being part of the program as people are afraid their wives might find out. I am glad including it came in handy ;)

That's exactly true about the wife finding out about the hobby expenses... In fact she was questioning me about how the insurance settlement could be so large!
